Vision

I have a number of goals and visions for my future some of which may be easier to accomplish than others, but never the less they are still my vision. One of my visions for my future is to graduate Baruch and go for my Masters in Education. Lately, I have been thinking about what I plan on doing after Baruch and teaching in an elementary school was always something that was in the back of my mind despite me being a marketing major, so becoming a teacher is my second vision. I would like to become a teacher because I have never liked school and if there was any way I could make school better and easier for even just one student it would be worth it for me. I plan on accomplishing this vision by doing the very best I can here at Baruch and after I graduate go for my masters. My real goal in becoming a teacher is to make an impact on these young kid's lives. Although this will be a difficult task I am willing to do as much as possible, such as working weekends, and summers, and go to conferences and seminars to find better ways to teach the material, to make my vision a reality. In addition to teaching, my other main vision for the future is to own my own house. This vision will hopefully become a reality through hard work and dedication as a teacher. I am a believer that the more work you put into something the more you get out of it. Therefore, I believe that if I work hard and put a lot of effort into my job, my reward will be not only making an impact on lives, but being able to own my own home as well. Another one of my goals, a stretch goal to put it mildly, is to own a Mercedes. Although this may seem a bit much, from the time that I was little this was always one of my goals in life. For me, driving a Mercedes would be the sign that I am successful and have accomplished something. At the moment, I'm not really sure how I am going to make this vision, if not a dream, a reality but hopefully one day it will be my reality.

  1. I admire your passion for wanting to teach children. I believe that it takes a very special person to take on that role. I know so many people that say they want to be teachers for all the wrong reasons such as, all the time off teachers have. Your personal experiences of when you were in school will have a great impact on your success. Owning your home is such a huge accomplishment. Some refer to it as the "American dream". I to dream of owning my own home one day. If driving that Mercedes is what defines success to you then best of luck. They certainly are nice cars. A little bit of persistence and drive will guide you in the right direction. Good Luck!!

  2. i have the goal of going to graduate school after getting a bachelor degree too. But I think we are persuiting a different degree. I admire you goal to teach children, that will make difference to them, since they have infinite protential.

For the house part, i think this is almost everyone's dream, including me! that's can be really hard to accomplish, though the house price has been down so much in this economy... Mercedes makes it harder. However, people needs incentives to make life better. Let's make our vision clearer and work hard on our dreams.

  3. lolz..we have a same vision. My vision is to own a pretty house with a huge living room and a beautiful closet for my clothes and shoes. I want a pretty closet just like Carrie’s closet in the movie, Sex and the City. I hope your vision come true just like mine. Also, I think I might have to move out of NY to have my vision to come true. Houses that I love in NY are too expensive.

  4. a teacher!; a field where demand will always be high. your incentives are wonderful!!!!!- to simplify the lives of these hardworking, courageous, ambitious students by interpreting material in the most overly-simplified approach, something teachers fail to do (not all of course). but i definitely condone your strong desire for success and wish you the best of luck in teaching our children and future generations

  5. Being a teacher is a hard but very rewarding job. If you feel that you have this calling to be a devoted teacher - I am sure that you will get a good respond from the children, who will love you. Just think how many lives you can influence. Who knows - may be you will discover and encourage some new talents. There are so many chances to make children happier and make a real contribution to the world. A good, devoted teacher can have a great impact on the developing minds. Good luck in your dreams.
